The electronics area is intended for use for building and prototyping low-voltage equipment, including LED lighting, audio/video, micro-controller projects (such as Arduino, ESP8266, etc), and other projects where soldering is the key skill. Basic electronic components such as resistors and capacitors may be available, but not all sizes or types are consistently stocked.

Hazards and Safety
- Hot tools. Soldering irons, de-soldering tools, and heat guns are in use in this area.
- Sharp Implements. Wire stripping and cutting tools can puncture and cut skin.
- Fume/Ventilation Hazard. Soldering produces fumes which should not be breathed for long periods of time. While full area ventilation is not available, a fume extractor is provided and should be used. Always use the available dust collection and ventilation systems and replace filters as appropriate..
- Wear eye protection (ANSI Z87 preferred) when cutting or working closely with molten metals such as hot solder.
